(Newser) – Brad Richards' second game with Dallas was "a little bit of a letdown," as the Stars couldn't get anything going against Nashville. Giving up turnovers right and left and going 0-7 on the power play, the Stars lost their third of the last 16 games 3-1, the Dallas Morning News reports. On other NHL ice:

  • Colorado's decisive 5-2 defeat of Los Angeles came at a price, as Marek Svatos left with a knee injury and Ryan Smyth was carted off on a stretcher after a thunderous (but legal) hit.
  • Mats Sundin scored one goal and assisted on both others as Toronto beat Washington 3-2, calling the Capitals' playoff hopes in question.
