Washington feted itself last night with the annual exercise known alternately as the White House Correspondents Dinner or "Nerd Prom," with Saturday Night Live's Cecily Strong getting in some of the strongest zingers. "Your hair is so white now," she told President Obama, "it can talk back to police." Further, the Hollywood Reporter notes she observed that the Secret Service is "the only law enforcement agency in the country that will get in trouble if a black man gets shot." Highlights from the president's speech, per NPR and the AP:

  • "Today, thanks to ObamaCare, you no longer have to worry about losing your insurance, if you lose your job. You're welcome, Senate Democrats."

  • "Soon, the first presidential contest will take place, and I for one cannot wait to see who the Koch brothers pick. It's exciting." He added: "Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker ... who will finally get that red rose?"
  • "Just this week Michele Bachmann actually predicted that I would bring about the biblical end of days. Now, that's a legacy. That's big. I mean, Lincoln, Washington, they didn't do that."
  • The economy's so bad that "I had a friend, just a few weeks ago, she was making millions of dollars a year, and now she's living out of a van in Iowa."
  • He and Joe Biden have "gotten so close, in some places in Indiana, they won't serve us pizza anymore."
  • "People say I'm arrogant and aloof. Some people are so dumb."
  • "I look so old John Boehner's already invited Netanyahu to speak at my funeral."
