5 US Cities Most Plagued by Mosquitoes

Just how bad will the mosquitoes get you this year? Based on the number of customers it serviced last year, pest control company Orkin has put out its list of the 20 worst US cities, and, well—sorry, Atlanta, but you're No. 1. The Southeast is particularly hard-hit, with nine cities there showing up. In addition to making us itch, mosquitoes spread diseases such as West Nile and the painful-sounding chikungunya (aka the Lindsay Lohan virus). Here are the "top" five cities:

  1. Atlanta
  2. Chicago
  3. Washington
  4. Detroit
  5. Houston
