Older workers might take note of a new ranking of the best cities for retirees from the Employee Benefit Research Institute. The group crunches data on affordability, quality of life, activities, and health care, explains CBS News. Yes, Florida cities dominate, but how many would have picked Boise at No. 3? Here are the top five:

  1. Tampa, Fla.
  2. Scottsdale, Ariz.
  3. Boise, Idaho
  4. Cape Coral, Fla.
  5. Orlando, Fla.
By contrast, New York City; Aurora, Ill.; Providence, RI; Jersey City, NJ; and Newark, NJ, rank as the bottom five. Click for a full breakdown. (More retirement stories.)
