(Newser) Straight Outta Compton ruled the box office roost for the third weekend in a row, quietly pulling in $13.2 million as summer fades to black. But as USA Today notes, that was enough to propel it past Walk the Line as the highest grossing music biopic ever, with a total of $134 million. "Straight Outta Compton is taking full advantage of not only being a great movie but also having a great release in the movie calendar," says a box office analyst. Meanwhile, Zac Efron's We Are Your Friends flopped with $1.8 million. (Read more box office stories.)
