Authorities believe the Texas man fatally shot by deputies last week while holding his arms up was holding a knife at the time, Bexar County Sheriff Susan Pamerleau said today. One video of the incident appears to show Gilbert Flores, 41, holding up his hands, but one hand is obscured by a utility pole; Pamerleau says investigators now have a second video, which has not been released publicly, NBC News reports. "We believe that Mr. Flores had a knife in his hand, and that video will help us have a better idea of exactly what he had in his hand," she said today. Authorities want to see if the video can be enhanced, and it's currently at a state crime lab. Click for more on the incident. (More Gilbert Flores stories.)
