Fed-Up Favre Wants a Trade

Aging gunslinger irked that Packers passed on Moss

(Newser) – Packers signal caller and future HOFer Brett Favre privately demanded a trade last week, livid that Green Bay's management failed to acquire talented receiver Randy Moss. Moss had taken a pay cut to escape Oakland and join the now-terrifying offense of New England, and Favre felt the Packers could have gotten him for less.

Now, Packers officials are hoping the legendary quarterback will cool off and rescind his demand. At 37, Favre is entering the twilight of his career, and the acquisition of Moss would have represented the end of a rebuilding period that has seen the Packers lose their stranglehold on the NFC North.
