A would-be robber surprised the morning crew at a Waffle House yesterday and got quite the shock in return: a customer who opened fire and shot him dead, the Post and Courier reports. Later identified as Joshua Jermaine Davis, 19, the robber apparently made his move before 5am at the eatery in North Charleston, SC. He was rushed to a hospital and later died there. The customer hasn't been identified or charged, and police say he had a valid concealed weapons permit, WCSC reports. "No one was hurt, which is the best part," says a Waffle House division manager. "No one was injured—besides the suspect." (More Waffle House stories.)
