Gross Twist in Randy and Evi Quaid Case A fellow jailed woman slipped something unwanted into Evi's cell By Newser Editors and Wire Services Posted Oct 13, 2015 6:42 PM CDT 23 comments Comments A fellow jailed woman slipped feces into the cell of Evi Quaid, seen here after being arrested with husband Randy Quaid over the weekend. (Zach Despart) (Newser) – Vermont corrections officials say a woman jailed on an attempted murder charge put feces into the cell of Evi Quaid, wife of actor Randy Quaid, on Sunday. A department official says that the two women had no physical contact and that Quaid was in her cell. He says the other inmate, Veronica Lewis, used a food chute to get the feces into Quaid's cell. The Quaids were arrested Friday in Vermont as they tried to enter the US from Quebec. They're being held on bail on charges they left the country five years ago after being accused of vandalism in California. Lewis is charged with shooting a firearms instructor in the face in June.
