(Newser) – Matt Damon: Hollywood's official dude in distress? Thanks to Quora user Kynan Eng (and Time for spotting) we now have a general idea of the real-life costs of saving Damon's movie characters from sticky situations: $900 billion. The breakdown includes $500 billion for a spaceship in Interstellar and a $200 billion Mars mission in The Martian, making the $100,000 soldier's rescue in Saving Private Ryan seem like chump change in comparison. Eng says he didn't consider the Bourne series in his eight-movie calculation "because Matt Damon does lots of travel at his own expense (he might have lots of frequent flyer points under different identities)."
