Wizards Conjure Up 87-86 Victory over Magic

Posted Mar 19, 08 10:20 PM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – Hedo Turkoglu scored a career-high 39 points but it wasn’t enough as the Orlando Magic fell to the Washington Wizards 87-86. Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy was not pleased with his team’s play. “Other than [Turkoglu] and [Keith Bogans], it was a miserable, miserable miserable offensive night,” he said. Antawn Jamison led Washington with 31 points, reports the Associated Press. Elsewhere in the Association:

  • Toronto held Miami to the third-lowest point total of the shot-clock era in their 96-54 victory. Chris Bosh made his return to the lineup after missing 10 games with a sore knee; he had eight points and eight rebounds.
  • Shawne Williams scored 14 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter in Indiana’s 102-95 win over Charlotte.
