(Newser) – Texas-San Antonio literally handed Texas A&M a 91-52 win in the first round of the women's NCAA Tournament today, reports the Associated Press. The Roadrunners turned the ball over 30 times, and the Aggies scored 38 points off the miscues. Thanks to their sloppiness with the ball, 15th-seeded UTSA attempted only 15 shots in the first half. In other women's action:

  • Alison Lacey hit a running shot with 47.4 seconds left to lift seventh-seeded Iowa State past Georgia Tech 58-55. Lacey later hit two clinching free throws.
  • Jessica Adair scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as sixth-seeded George Washington beat Auburn 66-56. Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Kimberly Beck had only three points for GW.
