Two of Johnny Depp's exes have already come forward to say that Amber Heard must be lying about her allegations of abuse at Depp's hands. On Sunday, his daughter Lily-Rose posted an Instagram photo of the two of them with the caption, "My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same." And also on Sunday, comic and Depp friend Doug Stanhope published an extensive column on The Wrap claiming to know the real story: Heard, Stanhope alleges, blackmailed Depp and then followed through on her threats.

Stanhope writes that he watched Heard "manipulate and f--- with [Depp] for years," and that many others "closely associated with" Depp saw the same thing. For most of the day Heard says Depp assaulted her, Stanhope was with Depp, and he says Depp told him and another friend "that Amber was now going to leave him, threatening to lie about him publicly in any and every possible duplicitous way if he didn’t agree to her terms. Blackmail is what I would imagine other people might put it, including the manner in which he is now being vilified." Per Stanhope, Heard's allegations of abuse are just lies, a follow-through on her threat. Read his full column at The Wrap. (More Johnny Depp stories.)
