The Virgin Islands' non-voting delegate to Congress says she was the victim of a "shockingly disgusting" computer hack at the hands of her political rivals: Personal files were posted online Wednesday, including a topless selfie and a video of her husband naked, reports Politico. They were later removed. Democratic Rep. Stacey Plaskett says the hack "marks a new low in Virgin Islands politics," particularly because one of her children is briefly seen in the video. "I am outraged that one of my children was exploited in such a way," she says in a statement.

It shows "there are some people who will go to any length to degrade a woman who refuses to play their games and will try to besmirch my good name by any means necessary," she adds, per the New York Daily News. In a statement, Gordon Ackley—a Republican who hopes to nab Plaskett's seat as in a primary two weeks away—says "it is deeply unfortunate when those entrusted to serve our community engage in a manner that poorly reflects up on the Virgin Islands. I have always tried to conduct myself in an honorable manner and to provide a positive influence for the next generation of Virgin Islanders." Reps for Plaskett say the FBI and Capitol Police are investigating. (More Congress stories.)
