A well-rested Dallas team couldn't rein in the exhausted but determined Warriors, who won last night's game 114-104 after a slow start. Josh Howard's 36 points weren't enough to make up for the continued absence of Dirk Nowitzki, nor was Jason Kidd's near triple-double (13 points, 14 assists, nine boards), reports Mavs.com. Elsewhere in the hotly contested Western Conference:
- Seattle managed to build a small lead before being obliterated by Sacramento 120-107 on Kevin Martin's 31 points and Ron Artest's 29.
- The Lakers got a 50th win for the first time since 2004, wresting an ugly 126-120 overtime victory from Washington with the help of Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom's double-doubles.
