Indians Worship Two-Faced Baby

(Newser) – Indians are coming from far and wide to see a two-faced baby born in a tiny village, ABC News reports. Many think the little girl with four eyes and two mouths is a reincarnation of the Hindu god Ganesh. "Some people say she is like a goddess," a village teacher said of the weeks-old girl. "They call the baby a face of a goddess."

The little girl has a rare condition known as facial duplication. Medical experts say it is possible that she could live a long and healthy life. "She' s not an abnormal baby. It's just that she has two faces," said the fiercely protective village doctor. "if she dies, it is as God wishes." Doctors recently removed two extra arms and legs from another Indian toddler who was worshiped as a reincarnation of the multi-limbed Hindu goddess Lakshmi.
