(Newser) – Know an attorney in want of a challenge? The two lawyers representing the only living suspect in the Paris terror attacks have dropped Salah Abdeslam's case. Abdeslam's French lawyer Frank Berton says his client "will not talk and will use his right to remain silent," leaving him with little choice but to resign alongside Belgian lawyer Sven Mary, reports Reuters. The lawyers say Paris victims deserve to know the truth, per the BBC, but that constant video monitoring—which officials have refused to ditch—is keeping Abdeslam quiet. A lawyer representing victims, however, says "the video surveillance is just a pretext."
