About 1,300 playground slides are being recalled after two children lost fingers. Distributor Playworld Systems says it's recalling single- and double-width "Lightning Slides" manufactured by Horizon Industries and sold between 2000 and 2016 after it was made aware of 13 incidents in which a crack appeared in the weld connecting the stainless steel slide to the side barriers, reports PennLive. Playworld Systems, which says two children lost fingers that became stuck in the gap, is offering free replacements and free installation, per Consumerist. (More recall stories.)
