Tragedy for Cuba Gooding Jr.: The Oscar-winning actor's father, soul singer Cuba Gooding Sr., was found dead in his car on a Los Angeles street Thursday afternooon, NBC News reports. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that emergency workers were unable to resuscitate the 72-year-old after he was found slumped over the wheel of his silver Jaguar. ABC7 reports that police don't suspect foul play. The Los Angeles County coroner's office says drug paraphernalia was found in the car, along with several bottles of alcohol, and it's not clear whether he died of natural causes or an overdose. Gooding, who was born in New York, was the lead singer in the Main Ingredient, which had a big hit in 1972 with "Everybody Plays the Fool." (More Cuba Gooding Jr. stories.)
