Thousands of people who carry concealed weapons in Florida just got some bad news: Hackers broke into the state registry and may have gotten information about them, reports WBBH. The news is worst for 469 of those affected: They received notices that their Social Security numbers may now be vulnerable. The state's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services says the breach, which happened through an online payment system, affects a total of about 16,000 people. Under state law, the names of those with permits for concealed weapons are meant to be private, reports UPI. (More concealed weapons stories.)
