Hill, Marcum Carry Blue Jays Over Orioles 11-3

(Newser) – Aaron Hill hit a three-run homer, Alex Rios and Matt Stairs each had two RBIs, and the Toronto Blue Jays cruised past the Baltimore Orioles 11-3 Tuesday night. David Eckstein had three hits and scored three runs for the Blue Jays, who reached season highs in runs and hits (16). The victory gave Toronto a 4-1 record on their road trip.

Shaun Marcum (2-0) allowed two runs and four hits in 6 2-3 innings. He walked three, struck out four and lowered his career ERA against Baltimore to 6.39 over seven appearances. Nick Markakis, Adam Jones and Melvin Mora homered for the Orioles, who have lost five of seven following a 6-1 start. It was Jones’ first four-bagger with Baltimore.
