McCain Recipes Cribbed From Food Network

Posted Apr 16, 08 3:17 PM CDT in Arts & Living Politics

(Newser) – Rachael Ray tells Us Magazine she’s “flattered” John McCain’s website passed off some of her recipes as belonging to wife Cindy. An aide was embarrassed that dishes like Passion Fruit Mousse and Ahi Tuna with Napa Cabbage Slaw were lifted from Food Network sites, and blamed an intern—joking that Ray had been unwittingly appointed an advisor to the “department of gourmet.”

Cindy McCain will appear on the popular chat show The View on Tuesday, the AP adds; her husband has appeared on the program four times. Ray also invited the McCains onto her program after the latest kerfuffle. She said her recipes “are supposed to be accessible to everyone—interns, senators, students and families alike!”
