Mindy Cohn has been keeping a "secret for a long time," the Facts of Life star tells People: She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. She launched what she calls a "siege" on the disease, getting a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. "I've always been an optimist," she says. "But the cancer metastasized. It kept spreading and coming back. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would. And then I'd wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged." Finally, after recuperating on her friends' New York farm, she's cancer-free and has returned to Hollywood: "I'm so ready to get back to working." (More breast cancer stories.)
