Ochoa: a Lady Tiger?

Mexican golfer could complete a 'Lorena Slam'

(Newser) – Golf fans should have no trouble choosing between the Lady or the Tiger at the moment: The best player in the world today, Ed Sherman writes in the Chicago Tribune, is Lorena Ochoa. With four victories in a row and five in six tournaments, the 26-year-old Mexican has already qualified for the LGPA Hall of Fame and has the chance for a Grand Slam.

Ochoa seems to be having fun despite the pressure of measuring up to Tiger Woods. "This year he had a better start than me. He won those first three tournaments, and I was a little behind," she said. "So I was just joking, 'OK, we need to catch up.' " Even competitors like her: "She's definitely a role model," says fellow pro Brittany Lincicome.
