David Cassidy is in critical condition in a Florida hospital with organ failure, CNN reports. "He is conscious and surrounded by family and friends, nothing is imminent, and we are taking it day by day," publicist Jo-Ann Geffen says. While Geffen didn't say what caused the organ failure, ABC News reports it's kidney and liver failure specifically. The 67-year-old Cassidy was the star of The Partridge Family and a pop idol during the 1970s. He struggled with alcoholism in recent years and filed for bankruptcy in 2015, according to Variety. Cassidy announced this year that he's been suffering from dementia and has been in declining health. (More David Cassidy stories.)
