Saturday Night Live wasted little time in tackling the brouhaha over Michael Wolff's White House exposé, with alum Fred Armisen returning as the Fire and Fury author on a Cold Open that returned to the show's running spoof on MSNBC's Morning Joe. Amid what Mashable terms Mika Brzezinski (Kate McKinnon) and Joe Scarborough's (Alex Moffat) "hate-flirting," Armisen said of the controversy over the book, "even the stuff that's not true—it's true." SNL then brought out Steve Bannon, heretofore portrayed only as a faceless Grim Reaper, but Bill Murray emerged from beneath the hood on Saturday to declare "the Bannon dynasty is dawning," and "it's time for America to slide down the Bannonster." Asked about his current projects, Murray replied, "I'm working on a web series for Crackle, it's called Cucks in Cars Getting Coffee." (More Saturday Night Live stories.)
