Joe Biden made some choice comments about President Trump at a rally earlier this week, including a quip that he would have "beat the hell out" of Trump in high school. It seems the president has gotten wind of it: "Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy," the president tweeted Thursday morning about his fellow 70-something. "Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!"

Biden made his comments in regard to Trump's lewd remarks about women on the Access Hollywood tape that surfaced in the 2016 campaign. "If we were in high school, I'd take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him," Biden said, adding that anyone who talked like that is "usually the fattest, ugliest S.O.B. in the room." As Politico notes, Biden has been ramping up his criticism of Trump, fueling speculation that he's gearing up for a 2020 run. (More Joe Biden stories.)
