(NEWSER) - Cancer survivor Christina Applegate has clinched the coveted cover spot on People's annual World's 100 Most Beautiful issue. Standbys like Angelina Jolie, Hugh Jackman, and George Clooney also made the list, but there are plenty of newcomers:

• Slumdog Millionare stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto
• Michelle Obama make the list; Timothy Geithner and Rahm Emanuel made it as far as a section called "Barack's Beauties"

No way is Bradley Cooper sexier than Ryan, chant protesters at mag's office

• Kate Hudson: Apparently one of the most haunted celebs around, Hudson says she’s seen ghosts more times than she can number, including a beyond-the-grave version of her grandmother.
• Nicolas Cage: The ghost he saw at Francis Ford Coppola’s place had big hair and looked like his aunt.
