Wright Is a Wife-Snatcher: Ex-Parishioner

Posted May 4, 08 4:21 PM CDT in Gossip Politics

(Newser) – Barack Obama's controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright was making passes at a parishioner's wife when he was supposed to be giving the couple marriage counseling, the New York Post reports. "People were telling me that my extremely attractive wife was seen with the pastor," said Delmer Reed, who says he sought help at Trinity. "But I thought, 'So what?'"

Either Reed's telling the truth, "or this was the biggest coincidence in the world," said his lawyer, as Ramah Reed did indeed marry Wright. Reed claims he met with the pastor four times for counseling, but a Wright family spokesman denies the sessions ever occurred. As for whether Wright was blame, Reed is mum: "I told my kids I wouldn't hurt their stepfather," he said.
