Cops Launch Global Hunt for Pedophile

(Newser) – Interpol has launched a worldwide appeal for help in tracking down a man suspected of sexually abusing young boys, the BBC reports. Pictures of the man abusing boys 6 to 10 years old in Southeast Asia were found on the hard drive of a convicted pedophile in Norway. Police think the images date from around 2000-01. A similar appeal last year led to the quick arrest of another high-profile suspect.

"We are now asking the public to help identify this predator and protect other potential victims from abuse," said a top Interpol official.

Some 100 agents took part in the raid on the 15-acre grounds in Fouke near Texarkana. Authorities were interviewing several children throughout the weekend. Evangelist leader Tony Alamo ripped the accusations as "a hoax," and claimed he was being subjected to the same religious prosecution as Christ.
