R. Kelly is still in hot water: Two sources tell CNN a grand jury has been convened in Cook County, Illinois, in connection with new allegations against the singer. Attorney Michael Avenatti announced last week that he had turned over to authorities a videotape that allegedly shows Kelly having sex with an underage girl; CNN saw the footage and notes that it's impossible to confirm her age from the video alone. Sources tell TMZ some of Kelly's accusers were flown to Chicago to watch the video and see if anyone recognized the girl. However, no authorities have yet confirmed grand jury proceedings or even a new investigation, and Kelly's attorney says the report of a grand jury is false. Kelly has faced accusations of sex with underage girls for decades; all cases against him have been settled out of court except one 2002 child pornography case for which he was acquitted. (In the #MeToo era he has been placed under the microscope.)
