James Garner Recovering After Minor Stroke

80-year-old Maverick bouncing back

(Newser) – Actor James Garner is recuperating after suffering a minor stroke late last week. The Maverick and Rockford Files star was admitted to the hospital Friday, but is doing well and expected to go home soon, AP reports. Garner, who turned 80 last month, was nominated for an Oscar for his 1985 performance in Murphy’s Romance opposite Sally Field.
