ScarJo Snubs Woody Premiere

Posted May 19, 08 12:59 PM CDT in Arts & Living Gossip

(Newser) – Scarlett Johansson ditched the Cannes premiere of her Woody Allen-directed film Vicky Cristina Barcelona over the weekend after movie execs refused to comply with the 23-year-old actress's over-the-top travel demands, the Daily Mail reports. ScarJo demanded a personal $8,000-a-day make-up artist and a special hotel suite 30 miles from the public events.

“While Woody's terribly fond of Scarlett, he was a little upset that she wasn't being a team player," a film executive said. Meanwhile, costars Penelope Cruz and Rebecca Hall were more than happy to represent the film, which the Daily Mail said was greeted with a 10-minute standing ovation from a black-tie audience Saturday night.
