Posted May 21, 08 1:37 PM CDT in Arts & Living Business

(Newser) – Airfares are skyrocketing, but deals are still out there. The New York Times offers some pointers:

  1. Book directly with the airline.
  2. Sign up for private price cuts.
  3. Buy one ticket at a time.
  4. Make your computer do the work.

  1. Buy a package deal.
  2. Search for flights using alternate airports.
  3. Be flexible.
  4. Pay attention to ticket price fluctuations.
  5. Don't wait if you see a good deal.
