Fathers' group demonstrates for paternal access rights

(Newser) – Two dads in superhero getups climbed on a British lawmaker's roof today to demand their rights, the AP reports. A fathers' group staged the protest to promote paternal access rights, after talks with 10 Downing St. broke down. “We are now resuming a full-scale campaign of direct action,” said the founder of Fathers 4 Justice. "F4J is now the last line in the defense of fatherhood.”

The victim, 20-year-old Jody McIntyre, tells the Daily Telegraph that police actually pulled him from the chair twice, once amidst a clash between police and other protesters, and later when one recognized him in the middle of the street. 'It makes me angry,' says feisty teen horse-lover

(NEWSER) - A 13-year-old girl has taken court action to protect her pony, Pringle, from being seized by British authorities to help cover child support payments the teen's dad owes to her mom. "They said that my dad had a debt and they were going to take my pony. It made me angry," said Emma Chapelhow, who lives on a farm with her father and stepmom. Her pop owes some $60,000 to Emma's mom for caring for her until two years ago. Emma's seeking a public attorney since she says her dad can't afford to pay a lawyer. More»

(NEWSER) - A British dad let a stroller holding two of his children roll from a promenade into the sea where one of them drowned as he made out with his mistress. “I let go of the buggy and seconds into that kiss we heard a plop," married dad of three Andrew Hopper testified at an inquest. “We broke from that kiss and thought, ‘What was that?’ We looked and saw the buggy had gone.” More»

(NEWSER) - The New Yorker whose video revealed a police attack on a man who died during the G20 protests is glad the footage has led to an investigation, he tells the Guardian. The fund manager, who attended the London protests out of curiosity, came forward with the footage after hearing of Ian Tomlinson's death and realizing there was no other evidence of the attack.
