Cops called when soon-to-be-ex got 'physical' with kids

(Newser) – Bill Murray's wife, who claims in their divorce that the actor is a violent alcoholic with cheating and sexual compulsions, had the police knocking on her door to investigate neighbors' complaints that she'd gotten “physical” with her children while drinking, the New York Post reports. Two of the couple’s children ran to a neighbor during the bizarre March incident.

Jennifer Butler-Murray "seemed to be very impaired and didn't want me on her property anymore, she slammed the door and I left the residence," read the South Carolina police report. The kids later "informed me that their mother had been drinking heavily and had [become] physical with them."

(NEWSER) - Australia will ban alcohol and pornography in some Aboriginal areas in an attempt to tackle widespread child sex abuse. A report last week blamed booze and poverty for the high levels of abuse in Aboriginal communities throughout the Northern Territory.
