Instead, the cannon misfired, sending the reality TV show's cannonball on a tear through a residential California neighborhood yesterday. The cannonball first blasted through the front door of a nearby home, up to the second floor and through the back wall, before ricocheting off another house and smashing through the window of a minivan. Outcry over holiday cans leads Coca-Cola to backtrack

(NEWSER) - The Wall Street Journal today brings us the very definition of a first-world problem with its report on the reaction to Coca-Cola's white holiday cans. Coke has always released special seasonal cans, but this is the first year the company has opted to put its classic soda in a white can—and consumers freaked out. (NEWSER) - The FDA has warned Coca-Cola that Diet Coke Plus does not warrant the term “Plus.” Coke says its no-calorie drink is fortified with vitamins and minerals, hence the designation. No dice, says the FDA: It may have some supplements, but not enough to use the word, reports WebMD. Nor does the FDA “consider it appropriate to fortify snack foods such as carbonated beverages.” Coke plans to contest the decision. More»
