Grand Theft Auto Sex Scenes Fail to Excite

Lawsuit over hidden footage gets few takers

Share

(Newser) – Moral outrage that sparked a class action lawsuit over the hidden sex scenes in the wildly popular Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has failed to translate into complaints, the New York Times reports. Despite the millions of copies of the game sold to date, only 2,676 offended owners have stepped forward to file a claim under a settlement agreement reached with the game’s makers.

“There are two possibilities,” explains one legal expert opposed to the settlement. “Possibility one is they have a meritorious lawsuit and they’re selling out the class for attorneys’ fees. The other possibility is that, and frankly I think this is the more likely possibility, they brought a meritless lawsuit that had no business being brought to court at all.”
