If you’re a fan of Metal Gear Solid, you’ll love the fourth and final chapter, Marc Saltzman writes in USA Today; if you’re not, you might be bored stiff by the “cinematic sequences, confusing storylines and campy dialogue” of Guns of the Patriots. But don’t let that dissuade you: MGS4 is “probably one of the best-looking video games to date.”
Once again, you’re Solid Snake, except now you’ve aged suddenly and strangely. Your nemesis Liquid Ocelot is preparing to use several private military companies to take over the world. The resulting special effects in the “mature, stealthy adventure” are amazing, and the capacity to play with 16 players at once is fantastic.
