Kansas City tight end Tony Gonzalez gained his most devoted fan in the middle of a quiet dinner in an Orange County, Calif., restaurant. When Ken Hunter began to choke at the next table, Gonzalez sprang into action, performing the Heimlich maneuver and saving the man's life, AP reports. "He was so lucky Tony was there," said a restaurant employee.
The NFL record holder has seen plenty of training, but none of it in lifesaving techniques. "When you find yourself in those situations where you have to take action in a crucial situation, you just do it," Gonzalez said. As for Hunter, a lifelong Chargers fan, he will be rooting for Gonzalez when the Chiefs come to San Diego on Nov. 9.
