In 'Dire' Shape, Novak Will Retire

(Newser) – Robert Novak says his prognosis is "dire," and the longtime political columnist will retire immediately, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. "The details are being worked out with the doctors this week, but the tentative plan is for radiation and chemotherapy,” said Novak, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor last month.
