Fashion Maven Mr. Blackwell Emerging From Coma

Critic, 85, fell at his home last week

(Newser) – Mr. Blackwell, the former fashion designer whose scathing "Worst-Dressed List" is the bane of taste-challenged Hollywood, appears to emerging from a coma after collapsing at home earlier this week, Reuters reports. The 85-year-old Richard Blackwell was unconscious when hospitalized Tuesday, the AP notes, but today he began moving his hands and blinking. He is being treated for an unspecifed infection.

"He appears to be cognizant of his surrounding and acknowledged his partner, Spencer," said a spokesman.
