Oasis Star Attacked on Stage

Posted Sep 9, 08 4:00 AM CDT in World Crime & Courts Arts & Living

(Newser) – A rogue fan attacked Oasis star Noel Gallagher during a concert in Toronto, the Sydney Morning Herald reports. The man raced onto the stage and violently pushed the guitarist down into speakers as the band played What's the Story, Morning Glory? Gallagher's brother Liam and the band's bodyguards rushed the crazed fan and dragged him offstage.

The band returned after a few minutes to complete their set, but Gallagher was taken to a local hospital for a suspected fractured rib. "He finished the show like a pro, but you could see from his body language the incident really shook him up," said a fan. A 47-year-old man has been charged with assault.
