Another OJ Trial Kicks Off

Posted Sep 15, 08 4:31 PM CDT in Sports Crime & Courts

(Newser) – OJ Simpson shook his head as a prosecutor promised to show jurors "the true face" of the disgraced NFL star, whose trial on 12 counts of felony kidnapping, armed robbery, and other charges began today in Las Vegas, the Review-Journal reports. Simpson's lawyer countered that he was retrieving his own property, but an audio recording played in court included a voice ordering: "Don't let nobody outta here."

"All I wanted is my stuff back," Simpson's lawyer quoted his client as saying.
