Disney Tailors Flick for Miley

Posted Sep 17, 08 12:56 PM CDT in Arts & Living Gossip

(Newser) – Disney has asked Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook and Message in a Bottle, to write a screenplay tailor-made to star Miley Cyrus in an attempt to sell the tween queen to a more adult audience, Variety reports.

“Certain opportunities garner your interest, and this was one of those,” Sparks said of the untitled effort. The Cyrus family was “very familiar with the work I’ve done in the past. That played a role in this project coming together.”
