Oliver Stone is looking to attract the political center with his new movie, W., about the life our 43rd president, USA Today reports. The film, a satirical biopic starring Josh Brolin as George W. Bush, is neither hagiography or damning indictment. “I'm not interested in that radical 15% that hate Bush or the 15% to 20% who love Bush,” Stone said.

“I'm interested in that 60% in the American middle who at least have a little more open mind,” the director continued. So while there are scenes of a boozing Bush before he was born again, the picture, set to open Oct. 17, also captures his sincere faith and love of family. But the last 8  years aren’t off limits, either. And Stone’s personal opinion? “I would say he's a bully.” (More Oliver Stone stories.)
