(Newser) – Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones may have to explain himself to commissioner Roger Goodell—again—after scuffling with his own bodyguard at a Dallas hotel yesterday, ESPN reports. The Dallas player appeared to be intoxicated before he attacked one of the guards hired to keep him out of trouble, according to sources. Goodell suspended Jones for all of last season after a series of arrests.

Jones' reinstatement from suspension last month was dependent on a requirement that he stay out of trouble. Police do not plan to press charges over the incident. With Terence Newman out injured, another suspension for Jones could leave a big hole in the team's defense. "Jones was a high risk, high reward signing by the Cowboys, a team not averse to taking on troubled players," noted a CBS anchor.
