(Newser) – Two men have been charged with disorderly conduct for hanging an effigy of Barack Obama from a tree on University of Kentucky property earlier this week, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports. The men, one of them a student, also face charges for breaking into a fraternity house and taking items used for the hanging, which outraged UK students and faculty.

Your statement is incorrect and illogical. They were not charged with a hate crime, they were charged with disorderly conduct and burglary. They hung an effigy on a university campus. In California, the jackass hung the Palin effigy on his own property. Can't prosecute somebody for doing that on their own land. As for the "liberal cesspool" remark, since hate crimes tend to be prosecuted in liberal parts of the country (e.g. CA) much more than conservative parts of the country (e.g. KY), your comment makes no sense. Perhaps you should try actually reading and thinking for yourself, instead of spouting ill-informed ideological crap.

So in Kentucky hanging a Black Man in Effigy is a hate crime and in California hanging a white woman in effigy is not a hate crime. That simply confirms my supposition that California is a liberal cesspool.
