Campaigns Call in Big Guns for Final Fireworks Shows

Obama gets Clintons, Gore; McCain counters with Schwarzenegger, Giuliani

(Newser) – In the final days of the presidential campaign, the candidates are ramping up their schedules and bringing in their parties’ big names to motivate voters, the New York Times reports. John McCain, in addition to sending running mate Sarah Palin on a grueling two-day sprint across the country, has enlisted the help of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rudolph Giuliani.

Barack Obama has been appearing with Bill Clinton in Florida, and both Hillary Clinton and Al Gore are stumping for the candidate in Florida and the Midwest. McCain is making a mad dash through Ohio and battleground states on the East Coast before heading back to Arizona on Monday. “It’s going to be a ferocious four days,” Obama’s campaign chief said.

We’re pretty jazzed up about what were seeing as movement in this election. We are witnessing, I believe, probably one of the greatest comebacks that you’ve seen since John McCain won the primary.” - Rick Davis, McCain campaign manager

Sen. McCain is stumping with Arnold Schwarzenegger? Real smart move, use a Gov. accused of sexual and personal misconduct, and anabolic steroids abuse on the campaign trail. Guess that Roid' rage could come in handy Reply

THE BIG GUNS OF THE USA MAY HAVE COME TO OBAMA'S RESCUE--BUT THE REALL BIG GREAT GUNS--WILL SHOW UP IN WAYS THAT OUR CONGRESS AND OTHER HIGH POWER USA OFFICIALS WILL LEAST EXPECT IT! Obama has surrounded himself with rebel activitists in the USA--and other third world countries! Obama's GREAT GUN WILL SURPRISE US ALL--THEN WE CAN THANK THE DEMOCRATS--Because they didn't see the real DEMO or C- RAT! Obama's birth certificate has been sealed--can't prove the real citizenship-- Reply

Arnold and Rudy are the "big guns"? Wow, the GOP has surely lost it if they believe that. Reply

Can't prove his citizenship??? Get real. Arnold can hardly speak so he is understable, Rudy is just plain stupid. If you want 4 years of the lying and spewing hate vote for McCain. If you want honesty vote OBAMA/BIDEN. Reply
