Actress Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell, brother Jason and 7-year-old nephew, Julian, were remembered by family and friends in an emotional public memorial service at their Chicago Baptist church yesterday, a week after the three were murdered. The most poignant moments came as Julian's second-grade teacher read comments from his classmates, People reports.

"I'm sad he didn't get to be president," one child lamented. Another recalled he loved to tell knock-knock jokes. "Julian was a role model, an academic whiz and a best friend," said his teacher. "You could look into his eyes and you knew he always had the right answer."
